We read the story Mr Love day’s Little Outing. We then were given a handout of the story laid out in book format with four blanks where illustrations would go. We had to take photographs and create final images to illustrate the story. We imported the final images into the layout on Quark Xpress to complete the full book. It was really important that the images we produced are best quality. There shouldn’t be any pixilation. We also used a range of techniques when producing the images, including cropping and resizing/scaling; colour adjustments; combining images from different sources; changing resolution; enhancements; multiple images; and adding effects.
I took 4 images, one was a bike in the middle of the road and it was the part of the story; a close-up of someone’s hand writing a letter; a picture of an old gate; and the last one was a close-up of someone’s eyes. All the 4 images were illustrating the story very well and I put them on the right page so while we read the story it actually makes sense. I also got experience of how to use Quark Express because the book was on Quark express and I had to put the images on the book.
I changed the title into white and made the images black & white. On the front page of the story I edited the picture of an old gate. I didn’t have to do much work on these images because I just took them to fit properly with the story. But as you can see they might don’t make sense when you look through the story but when you will read each page you will get the idea. Images have no close ending. The print quality; image resolution and clarity; lighting was perfect.
